Research Material Storage & Receipt Checklist
A general receiving framework for recording identity, condition, batch information, and assigned storage controls.
- Prepare the receiving record.
Have the order number, expected product names, and responsible receiver available before delivery. - Inspect before allocation.
Check the parcel and labels, record arrival condition, and isolate any discrepancy for review. - Capture identifiers.
Record the product name, labelled amount, batch reference, receipt date, and assigned project or inventory location. - Follow the applicable source.
Use the label, batch documentation, supplier information, and your approved SOP to determine storage and handling controls. - Preserve the trail.
Keep receipt, storage, movement, and disposition records connected to the same internal identifier.
